About Shared Status
Why we wrote Shared Status
At AlisonWeb we love providing people with simple tools to help them be more productive. In the case of Shared Status we wanted a simple, low cost and easy to use solution for tracking tasks, collaborating with team members and generating status reports.
Shared Status is designed to provide the following:
- Help individuals stay on top of their personal tasks
- Help managers know what their team members are working on
- Help project members collaborate with each other on projects
We built Shared Status as a web based solution because it removes a barrier for many people that are worried about software compatibility; anyone with a modern computer, web browser and internet access can use Shared Status.
About AlisonWeb Corporation
My name is David Alison and I am the founder of AlisonWeb. I have been doing software development since 1984, working first for commercial software companies like Symantec and for the last 11 years running my own firms. In 1998 I started up WebSurveyor, a provider of online survey tools which grew rather rapidly, hitting the Inc 500 list several times and employing nearly 50 people in the Northern Virginia area. My partners and I sold that business in 2006 to Austin Ventures, which rolled up several competitors and launched the new company as Vovici. I stayed on with Vovici through October 2007 as the CTO.
AlisonWeb is my latest venture. My goal is to build products that help companies become more productive, especially at the individual level. I am deeply passionate about the software we produce and the level of service we provide to our customers. If you need to speak to me directly please click here to send me a note and I will get back to you as quickly as possible.
I also write quite frequently on David Alison’s Blog.
